We offer our hand-crafted, Virginia local worm castings in a variety of sizes for the amateur gardener and professional grower alike.
Worm castings are a balanced, mild blend of nutrients, enzymes, beneficial microbes, fungi, acids, and more.
When applied to soil, worm castings improve the soil's structure, drainage, and water retention.
The beneficial enzymes and acids stimulate root growth and help plants to grow heathier and stronger.
The diverse microorganism population adds life to the soil, aiding in the proliferation of beneficial microbes.
Our hand-crafted worm castings are made in Richmond, Virginia using plant-based inputs. Our efforts to be sustainable begin in disrupting local waste streams - yard waste, clippings, leaves, wood chips and more. And since we obtain all ingredients from our own operations, we ensure there are no pesticides, trash, or other unwanted materials in our inputs.
Worm Castings in Compostable 3 QT Bag
A little vermicast goes a long way! In fact, as little as 10% has beneficial effects in the garden. Our 3 quart bag of worm castings weighs approximately 4 pounds and is enough for most backyard gardeners. Growing cannabis? This bag will last for an entire grow of several cannabis plants.
Our custom, home-compostable resealable pouch is another nod to our sustainability doctrine. When finished with the bag, simply place it in your compost pile to break down naturally. Please note that for long term storage (6+ months), we recommend transferring castings to a solid container with loose-fitting lid.
Our plant-based 3QT worm castings are available to ship anywhere in Virginia via ground. We also offer local pick-up from our Richmond-area location. If you live in our service area, we deliver worm castings biweekly in Richmond! Delivery of compost and worm castings is free to our subscribers or anyone in our Richmond VA delivery area.
Worm Castings in Compostable 10 QT Bag
Need a little more magic? Try our 10 quart worm castings, weighing approximately 12.5 pounds.
Our large, home-compostable resealable pouch is the perfect size for keeping on hand from spring through fall. Use worm castings for seedlings, for new and existing plantings, and for beneficial worm tea (two cups per 5 gallons of water).
When finished with the bag, simply place it in your compost pile to break down naturally. Please note that for long term storage (6+ months), we recommend transferring worm castings to a solid container with loose-fitting lid.

A Rucksack of Worm Castings
We offer a half cubic foot of castings in our biodegradable natural jute burlap sack. We recommend this size for expansive gardens or dedicated growers. Weighs approximately 18 pounds.
Be sure to store your burlap bag o' castings in a cool, dry place. We recommend not storing worm castings in a potting shed or in a location where they are exposed to extreme temperature changes or direct sun. Since it is a living soil, worm castings need consistent temps and plenty of airflow to live.
When finished with the bag, contact us for a refill. Burlap is also useful in wrapping injured trunks, using as a weed barrier, or making a highly desirable cat bed (this is trialed and tested). When out of uses, simply toss in your compost pile to naturally biodegrade.
Our plant-based 1/2 cubic foot worm castings are available for local pick-up from our Richmond-area location. We also offer free delivery of all things compost - including our rucksuck o' castings - within our Richmond service area.
Worm Castings for Cannabis Growers
Growing cannabis without worm castings? Why bother? Using worm castings throughout your cannabis grow is an essential component of healthy plants and quality yields.
Start by top dressing your seedlings after the appearance of their first set of leaves (after the cotyledons). The mild blend of nutrients (typically 1-1-1 or less) is just the boost your seedlings need without overstimulating.
Continue when making your soil mix; 20% worm castings mixed with your other inputs adds enough beneficials to make your cannabis thrive. We also recommend using worm tea, applied as either a soil drench or foliar spray, every few weeks throughout your grow.
Most cannabis growers agree that worm castings are a valuable component of growing. Our Virginia made castings are available to everyone in Virginia! We offer delivery, pick-up, and shipping. Contact us via email if you'd like more info on worm castings or compost.
Until next time...happy growing!
